Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Take this child and nurse it for me, and I'll pay you for your work." So the woman took the child and nursed it.

Read Exodus 2:1-10

God created Moses to stand out even from the beginning. He was a beautiful baby and his mother knew he was something special. During the three months she cared for Moses she must have been convinced in her heart by God that the purposes on his life were more than she could fathom. Her faith was so enormous that she was willing to separate herself from her lovely baby. Even more, to put him in what could've been harm’s way. She was confident in God's bigger picture and bigger cause. This mother’s faith was rewarded when Pharaoh's daughter looked favorably upon the baby. Not only did she receive the baby back to care for, but was paid to do it.

The faith of Moses' mother really challenged me. There isn't anything more precious to a mother than her child and yet this woman must have known that God had a plan! If I could have faith like her, - to give up what I value most to fulfill the purposes of God and to be able to see the big picture that we are all a part of and then act on it.

Dear Lord, thank You for the example of unhindered faith in Moses' mother. Help me, Lord, to always see areas in my life that need to be yielded to your purpose. Increase my faith and allow me to see the big picture. And when it's time to act, give me courage that You will see me through and work everything out to my benefit.
