v. 7 “But among the Israelites it will be so peaceful that not even a dog will bark. Then you will know that the Lord makes a distinction between the Egyptians and the Israelites.”
v. 3 “Now the Lord had caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the people of Israel. And Moses was considered a very great man in the land of Egypt, respected by Pharaoh’s officials and the Egyptian people alike.  EXODUS 11:3,7 NLT

(Read Exodus 11)

The firstborn sons in the land of Egypt were going to die by the angel of Death, but because the blood of the lamb would mark the houses of the Israelites, it would be completely peaceful without death. Since we have been covered in the blood of Jesus as believers, He will keep us no matter what life throws at us, He will bring peace.

Instead of the people of Egypt hating or rejecting the Israelites, they actually looked upon Moses and the people favorably! I believe when God calls us to something, He will cause others to look upon us favorably, even in situations that in the natural, it seems we have no business being in.

Do I really believe that because Jesus came to save me, that He will also bring me peace in my situation?

Is God calling me to something greater than myself? Can I block out whatever others or myself have labeled me in the past and believe what God has said about me?

Jesus, forgive me for the moments where I have allowed unbelief to override Your promises of victory and peace. I pray that I would see myself the way that You see me, not through the eyes of my circumstances. I pray that I would know that I am more than a conqueror and that You crowned me with grace and favor because of the sacrifice You made for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
