"If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may Know you and continue to find favor with you...” EXODUS 33:13 NIV

(Read Exodus 33:12-23)

Moses is having a conversation with the Lord. He is wondering who the Lord is sending to help lead his people.  How precious of Moses to beseech his Lord in desiring to learn him more.  This particular verse jumped out at me for it became very personal to me a few months ago. As I was reading Psalm 91:14 and Isaiah 52:6, I was prompted to research the names of the Lord . (Elohim, Yahweh, Adonai, El Shaddai, etc) The study of His Names enlightened my spirit.

What an awesome privilege we have as believers to have the opportunity to become more acquainted with our Heavenly Father! He knows us so well (Psalm 139) , should we not try to get to know our Father even more?

Lord, stir our spirits! Help us in the pursuit of knowing You in deeper ways.  We are so grateful to You for drawing close to us despite our many distractions in life. Oh, how we wish to gaze upon Your face.
