Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me. 6 And you will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation.’ This is the message you must give to the people of Israel.”
And all the people responded together, “We will do everything the Lord has commanded.” So Moses brought the people’s answer back to the Lord.
EXODUS 19:5-6, 8
God Called Moses up on the mountain and laid out all kinds of things for them to do and to live by.
WHY? Because the way had been doing it was with the MINDSET OF A SLAVE.
What do I mean by that? They only knew one way. They even went back to it over and over again. They were raised with a lot of gods. Many of them had them in their homes. They believed in them and worshipped them. Many people are still slaves to their old lives, to sin, old patterns and schemes in their lives, and death. God wants to set a new standard, a new mindset. We are NEW CREATURES IN CHRIST! How can we keep living as slaves to sin and expect to be free? We CAN’T. We need to think differently, develop a new vocabulary, new thought patterns, and new actions.
In moments of our life when the old life and our schemes begin to arise in us, we need to go back to what the Word of God says about us. We need to begin to think on those thoughts and renew our mind with God’s word and then begin to speak them over every area of our life. We need to remind our flesh and the Devil who God has made us to be and not who we were.
In the name of Jesus I declare today over my life that I am all that God says I am and I will be all that God says I can be. Today I am not moved by what I feel, I am not moved by what I see. I will be moved by the word of God working in me.
