Read Psalm 1:1-6

They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. Psalm 1:3 NLT

Observation
This chapter is speaking about two types of people, the godly and the wicked. It sets a clear bar for the godly. While reading this chapter it spoke about advice from the wicked and I couldn't help but ask myself, who are the voices of advice we surround ourselves with? The Bible clearly shows us the blessings that come with a godly lifestyle and what we should look like. If we surround ourselves with godly counsel and stay in the Word, the Bible says we will bear fruit! The Bible says we are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. I asked myself, am I rooted next to the right things? You can tell where you're rooted by the fruit
you bear.

Application
Ask yourself the question, am I bearing fruit? If not, why? And what do I need to change to bear the fruit of a godly lifestyle?

Prayer
God, I pray You would show us where we are planted. Give us a clear picture of how deep our roots are. Give us a heart to bear fruit in every season, and uproot us out of bad ground. Plant us in a place where we can hear Your voice!
