Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100 NLT
The psalmist says a lot about worship in just 5 short verses. Shout for joy and worship Him with gladness and joyful songs because of who He is. He is God. He created us. We are His sons and daughters. He continues on by saying we should praise and thank Him for He is good, His love and faithfulness endure forever.
In our lives, it’s easy to sing with joy and thank Him when things are going well. It can be hard when circumstances aren’t the best. These verses are a great reminder that our joy should be found in God alone and that His praise should always be on our lips. We are His children that He loves. In the good and the bad, we should remind ourselves that He is good and faithful and His love endures forever. Our praise should be a reflection of these truths no matter what we are
God, I thank You for who You are. You are God. You are faithful. Your love is everlasting. I thank You for adopting me into Your family and calling me Yours. Amen
