Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. Romans 8:37 KJV
As I was meditating on this text, I had a vision of a Herculean man – very chiseled, very strong – holding the globe with his hands outstretched to the sky. At first it seemed good. Then I had the impression that I should look again. So I did. Herculean, according to the dictionary, means requiring great strength or effort. Then I got it!! It was a powerful picture of a man striving to carry his world in his own effort; trying to live life without God. It is not in my effort or natural abilities that I am greater in strength, and greater in size, than everything the enemy throws at me. Whether it’s guilt, shame, sickness, danger, affliction, lack or trouble. It’s God’s love for me that never changes, that enables me to be victorious. His love is unfailing. I love it that Paul speaks to all of us. We are the body of Christ. There’s no place for division. We are in this together. I’m so glad that through His love we win.
I’m provoked to pursue God more.
Father, thank You for Your love. Thank You for Your Word that gives me direction and instruction, and victory in every area of my life. In Jesus name. Amen
