Read Acts 2:1-13

They were completely amazed. “How can this be?” they exclaimed. “These people are all from Galilee, and yet we hear them speaking in our own native languages! Acts 2:7-8 NLT

Observation
Isn’t it amazing what God provides when we wait on Him? The disciples were instructed to wait...and wait they did. Vs. 7 states that the “God fearing Jews” were utterly amazed when they heard these men speaking in their own languages. They then began to question.

Application
I’m sure the disciples were amazed and perplexed, as well. We can never assume that we know how God is going to move. His ways are so beyond what we can ever imagine. What we can assume is that when God touches us, or moves in our lives, it isn’t just for us!! God always has a larger purpose. That purpose is to make others, that aren’t close to him, question and wonder about the power of the God we serve. When others question...we have an open door to share God’s amazing love with them. Do we wait? Do we ask for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit daily? Is the power of the Holy Spirit evident in our day to day life? Are we a demonstration of the love and power of the God who has saved us?

Prayer
Thank you, Lord, that You didn’t leave us on our own to figure this life out! Thank You for the power of the Holy Spirit that enables us to live a life that draws others to You. Teach us how to wait upon You. Fill us daily with Your Holy Spirit. Help us to share our lives freely with others that they might be drawn to You!!
