And when He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.”  He who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings; and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.”  John 11:43-44

Jesus just performed an incredible miracle by raising a man who had been dead for three days!  He could have easily had the wrappings fall from Lazarus or Jesus could have miraculously had the cloth simply vanish.  But Jesus told the friends and family of Lazarus to unbind him and let him go.

For some reason, Jesus chooses to use imperfect people to participate in His perfect work of healing and restoration.  He uses us as He works miracles in those around us.

Lord, thank you for healing and restoring people around me. Use me, Lord, as a part of that miraculous process.  Lord, I am ready to unbind others from all that keeps them bound including fear, lies, anger, insecurity, hatred and judgement.  Lord, I am willing to go to the “smelly” people you have just raised from spiritual death and unbind them from their wrappings.  Help me to obey quickly and completely.
